Hunter Rick Dyer had the interwebs a-buzzin' in September 2012 after he claimed to have shot and killed a Bigfoot in the woods near San Antonio, Texas. At the time, his only purported evidence was a video clip featuring what he claimed to be the legendary cryptid lurking near his tent.
The video met with as much scorn as curiosity – especially since Dyer and an accomplice had famously tried to pass off a gorilla suit as a Bigfoot carcass in 2008. But the story kept simmering until last week, when Dyer came forward with what he claims to be a close-up photo of the creature he killed – which he nicknamed “Hank.”

The photo was posted at Dyer's blog Bigfoot Today, along with Hank's stats, including height (7 feet 10 inches), weight (754 pounds) and detailed physical description.
Dyer told San Antonio's KSAT News that a multitude of scientific tests have been performed on the body, including DNA testing and 3D scanning (although he has yet to produce the results of those tests). He also announced his plans to hold a press conference and take the corpse on tour to prove to the world that Bigfoot is “100 percent real.”
Dyer's credibility is already pretty shaky in the aftermath of that 2008 stunt, so he'll have to be totally transparent with his evidence if he's going to convince the experts this time... and that rubbery mask-like visage in the photo isn't going to be enough to win over doubters on its own.
