Kiefer Sutherland Involved with New ‘Mortal Kombat’

In a recent interview with IGN, 24 and Lost Boys actor Kiefer Sutherland revealed that not only is a new Mortal Kombat game in the works, but he’s lent his raspy vocal talents to the game.

When discussing his role as Big Boss in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Sutherland made an off-the-cuff remark with huge repercussions.  “I did Mortal Kombat, and that’s such a huge game, but it’s no not like [MGS5].”

He didn’t specify what the extent of his involvement was with the new MK, but he noted that his work was done “pretty quickly compared to [MGS5].”  Unless this is another series reboot, it’s unlikely that Sutherland will be voicing one of the already-established characters, and will be instead lending his throat to a new fighter.  Maybe…Jax Bauer?

I’ll see myself out.
