Knife Party is Buggin' Out in 'Centipede'

In a wicked homage to William Burroughs' controversial cult novel Naked Lunch, or more accurately, the '50s noir-style David Cronenberg film adaptation, dubstep/electro-house "seizure music" wizards Knife Party have cooked up (no pun intended) a devious little short film to accompany their new single “Centipede.” Just like in the film, the main characters indulge in some... well, let's just say “alternative” methods of getting their buzz on, if you know what I mean.

Those methods, which include snorting insecticide straight from the can, lead to some unpredictable results – unless you've seen the movie, in which case you'll totally see this one coming. But it's still trippy as hell, pretty damn violent, and sports a slick retro look inspired by the movie, with an even more gruesome outcome. I guess we should be grateful they didn't turn to another centipede-themed flick for ideas... 'cuz it's kinda hard to dance when your mouth is sewn to someone's butt.

Do we even need to say “kids, don't try this at home?” Yeah, we probably should.

“Centipede” is the latest single from the band's new EP Rage Valley, which dropped earlier this summer and is available through iTunes, Beatport and all the usual digital music sellers – plus you can spin the EP's title track and other new cuts like “Sleaze” and “Bonfire” for free at their official Soundcloud.
