Learn the Ups and Downs of Being a Zombie in 'AMY'

AMY, the upcoming survival horror title from VectorCell and Lexis Numerique, has intrigued us with its intriguing concept: that Lana, the game's protagonist, is infected with the same virus that is afflicting the rest of the populace and that only the eponymous Amy (and a heap of drugs) can help her keep it in check.  We never really saw how it would affect gameplay, until VectorCell released a heap of gameplay footage showcasing just what being a zombie in the world of AMY means for Lana and her young charge.  Check it out courtesy of Joystiq after the break.

In an interesting twist, it seems that being a zombie isn't all bad, as Lana can use her newly undead biology to sneak through the hordes of ghouls that inhabit the game.  However, you also have to contend with audiovisual hallucinations and eventual death that will make managing your time between life and undeath part of the challenge.

AMY will be released this fall on Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation Network, and PC.
