Lionsgate is looking to acquire Italian filmmaker Francesco Calabrese's mockumentary horror short Lovely Monster. In case you missed it, the film chronicles a young woman who has been turned into a monster and the people she’s shocked in the process.

It’s not immediately clear how it happened, puberty and a virus are teased, along with the suggestion she mutilates men and murders children, but the end result is disturbing. Variety reports that Francesco Calabrese will direct  the full-length film, while John Scott 3 of Maggie fame will write the script.
