As we highlighted in the Top 10 Must-Own Toys: Child's Play Edition post, there have been no shortage of Chucky toys over the years, courtesy of companies like McFarlane, NECA and Sideshow Collectibles. Most recently, Mezco acquired the Child's Play license and put out an impressive 15" Chucky doll, based on the pint-sized terror's battle-damaged appearance in Bride and Seed of Chucky.
But what about that original Good Guys doll, seen in the first few films? Why have we never gotten one of those of our very own, aside from limited foreign releases that sell for thousands of dollars? Well, I'm happy to report that the wait is finally over.
Catering to fan desires, Mezco has just announced and unveiled a brand new 15" Chucky doll, which looks a whole lot more like the original doll that we all know and love. With no scars on his face and his clothes in pristine condition, this is the classic Good Guys doll we've all been waiting to get our hands on, and Mezco rolls him out in October of this year, with a price tag of $94.
As if that wasn't awesome enough, the doll is also equipped with a voice box, allowing him to belt out iconic lines from the films, including "My name is Chucky," as well as more sinister phrases. He'll be housed inside of replica Good Guys packaging, and he's currently available for pre-order, over on Mezco's website.
