A clever new promotional video for Ridley Scott's Prometheus -- opening in theaters everywhere on June 8 -- has just arrived online. It's a faux ad for Weyland Industries' David robot (played by Michael Fassbender). Check it out after the jump.
The coolest thing about this Prometheus video is that it suggets the film will occupy the same tonal space as not only Alien (to which Prometheus serves as a prequel), but Scott's Blade Runner as well. Here's the synopsis for Prometheus: "Ridley Scott, director of Alien and Blade Runner, returns to the genre he helped define. With Prometheus, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race."
