With the July 14th release date for their fourth studio album Pray For Villains rapidly closing, malicious metallers DevilDriver have divulged some key events on their extremely packed 2009 agenda. The Devil’s in the details, as they say… so read on!
According to the band’s website, after 18 months of intense work, recording on all tracks for Pray For Villains is now complete and currently in the mixing stage. But the band apparently hasn’t factored in any downtime, as they’re also doing a show with Lamb of God at the Palladium in Hollywood on April 3rd, then shooting all the CD promo art on April 7th, and a couple of days after that they’ll begin filming the video for the first single – the title of which has not yet been disclosed.
Once shooting wraps on the video, the boys will be kicking off a new round of US tour dates, from April 9th through May 17th. After that, the band will play the main stage at the UK’s prestigious Download Festival, then return to the US to headline the “Thrash and Burn” tour from July 22 through August 30. I guess the guys subscribe to the whole “I’ll sleep when I’m dead” philosophy.
Be sure to check out their MySpace for tour updates.
