Earlier this week, we told you that John Luessenhop was in talks to helm the latest in the Texas Chainsaw franchise, Leatherface 3D. We've got some word on writers for the project; take a peek after the break.
Drafts of the script have been turned in by actress-turned-writer Debra Sullivan and Adam Marcus (Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday); writer Stephen Susco (The Grudge) had also been attached to the film. Now Bloody-Disgusting.com is reporting that Banshee scribe Kirsten Elms is "re-tooling the script, under the supervision of Luessenhop." The only detail about the story so far is that is opens where Tobe Hooper's original ended, then flashes forward to present day.
I know that when you get this far down the line of any franchise, you can't expect much more than a fun, violent gorefest. But statistically, the more writers you put on a project, the worse the script gets. Just sayin'.
