Abrams Books has made a deal with AMC TV and Robert Kirkman's Skybound Comics to publish two books based on The Walking Dead. The first of those books, The Walking Dead Chronicles, is a behind-the-scenes art book on the first season of the groundbreaking show. Details after the jump.

The Walking Dead Chronicles, due to be published October 1st - in time for the Halloween season two premiere - will contain over 200 behind-the-scenes photos, storyboards, set designs, and side-by-side scene comparisons of the comics and the TV show. All-new interviews with Robert Kirkman, Frank Darabont, Greg Nicotero, and other cast and crew members will also be included. 

No word yet on the second book to be published, but it seems a safe bet that it will be a season two companion book. The Walking Dead Chronicles is available for pre-order from Amazon.com
