More news has come in on the Friday the 13th remake that New Line and Paramount/MTV are producing. Director Marcus Nispel is in final talks to direct the film, which will again see Jason as the main killer. Though Jason was only seen for a few moments at the end of the first film, he certainly wasn’t wearing any hockey masks; and this remake will see the horror icon in full form, full glory. Nispel will begin shooting this winter. This isn’t new territory for the director, who—in addition to helming Pathfinder and Frankenstein for USA television—also directed the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. How’s that for a pedigree? (Um, not good?)
