Hardly a month has passed since the release of Handover, the long-awaited album from electronic music icons Skinny Puppy, not to mention our exclusive chat with the multi-talented frontman of that band Mr. Kevin "Ogre" Ogilvie, and already we've got even more good news: the musician-turned-horror-star has announced that he will embarking with his other band ohGr – the side project he created with frequent collaborator Mark Walk – for a series of live shows to close out the year. Hit the jump for more info!
Amazingly, this will be the first time ohGr has taken the stage since 2008, when they were promoting the release of their previous album Devils in My Details. This time, of course, they'll be rocking tracks from this year's amazing release unDeveloped (catch up with our review here).
The "Western Fallout" tour will begin on December 1st in San Francisco and cover much of western North America, concluding on December 11th at the historic El Rey theater in Los Angeles. Cyberpunk band Left Spine Down and darkwave duo Violet Tremors will provide support. Here's the full list of venues:
Dec 1: Bottom of the Hill, San Francisco, CA
Dec 2: Hawthorne Theatre, Portland, OR
Dec 3: El Corazon, Seattle, WA
Dec 4: Rickshaw, Vancouver, BC
Dec 6: The Complex, Salt Lake City, UT
Dec 7: Bluebird Theatre, Denver, CO
Dec 9: Nile, Phoenix, AZ
Dec 10: Constellation Room, Santa Ana, CA
Dec 11: El Rey, Los Angeles, CA
Better act fast on this, because ohGr have not declared any plans to perform live in 2012. Of course, there's still that Skinny Puppy tour in the works, so be on the lookout for that announcement soon...
