So here is news that I woke to this morning that shouldn't be shocking... but it is. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is once again left without a director. Craig Gillespie, fresh off this summer's Fright Night remake, has "amicably" parted ways with Lionsgate. Gillespie is the third director to leave the project. More after the jump.
I spoke to Gillespie this summer, and he was very excited to land the gig. He even promised that he would be the director who would stick. Well, apparently Gillespie is a damn dirty liar (no hard feelings, Craig). According to Deadline.com, Gillespie left the project over issues like casting - another point of contention for the troubled project.
David O. Russell was the first director on PPZ; Mike White was the second. The flick, based on the book by Seth Grahame-Smith, is a mashup of the Jane Austen classic with swarms of zombies.
