Prong Working on New Album for 2012


Metal pioneers Prong have announced they are embarking on their next studio album, the follow-up to their 2007 release Power of the Damager and its 2009 companion remix album Power of the Damn Mixxxer (check out our review here). "We have a lot of history and have always evolved as a band," Victor said in the announcement. "The goal for all of us was to take all of that and make a definitive Prong album."

Renowned producer Steve Evetts, who has worked with bands like Sepultura, Hatebreed, Suicide Silence and Dillinger Escape Plan, will be overseeing the production of the still-untitled record, which is being targeted for release early next year. Victor commented that Evetts "understands Prong in a way no other producer we've ever worked with has."
