Former White Zombie bassist Sean Yseult posted a very interesting track (bizarre, actually) to her Soundcloud page recently... a song she claims to be the result of an impromptu jam in the early '90s between members of White Zombie and Pantera... including the late, great guitar legend Dimebag Darrell. The track is entitled "Dawn of the Horrible Gorilla!" (exclamation point included). Go below to find out where you can hear it for yourself...
"Dimebag Darrell, Sean Yseult and [then Pantera vocalist] Philip Anselmo created this absurdity at 6am after a long night of drinking on a Pantera/White Zombie Tour in '92," Yseult wrote in the song's info. "Recorded on Darrell's 4-Track in his hotel room, the song was made up on the spot with Darrell on guitar (and drum machine), Sean on bass, and Phil singing. This comes from a cassette from Sean Yseult's archives, never heard before."
That said, "Gorilla!" is more of a historic oddity than an actual song... it's also very short, clocking in at just over two minutes. But if you take it for what it is – a goofy, drunken jam session by three talented musicians – it's actually kinda fun. Check it out at Sean's Soundcloud page!
