No, it’s not my cynical “I hate remakes” inner curmudgeon talking.  Gametrailers just put up a trailer for Namco Bandai/BottleRocket’s revival of the classic arcade gore franchise, and it sucks.

No offense guys, but if you’re trying to sell this old warhorse on your flashy remake, you can do a much better job with things like gameplay footage, or not having virtually every shot of Rick take place in the 3D modeling program.  I want to see the game, not some power tools splashed with Caro syrup.  I know this is a teaser, but come on!

Splatterhouse is due out April 28, 2009 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
