SpookhauS Musical Treats for Halloween... and Beyond

Vancouver-based “Artist of Darkness” SpookhauS has made a bloody splash on FEARnet's pages before, and while Halloween is just business as usual for the Spooky One, it's still a time for plenty of macabre fun and games – and tons of free music concocted in his laboratory of evil to enhance your own haunted-house experience this season. He's also putting the finishing touches on his ghoulish “anti-Christmas” online comic Satan Claws, and has some updates for us on that project as well. Check out the creepy coolness below the jump!

Since my chat last year with this versatile performer otherwise known as Bruce M. Campbell (no relation to the big-chinned deadite slayer, except maybe in spirit), the prolific artist has been quite busy, and recently informed me that he's posted over 90 minutes of original Halloween music at his iSound page – including soundtracks, ambient & neo-classical pieces, theremin stylings, trip-hop tracks, gothic-industrial singles and other atmospheric goodies to help you round out your Halloween party playlist... “or just to scare the trick-or-treaters on Halloween night,” he added. Be sure to check out his ultra-dark cover of Peter Gabriel's The Intruder, one of my own faves.

Last December Bruce also gave us a peek at some artwork from his new full-color comic project Satan Claws – a wild and gory Lucio Fulci-style collaboration with Vancouver artist Rob Macabre – and now he declares it will be ready to launch this holiday season. The 25-page comic will be available in a special download bundle along with five “anti-Christmas” MP3s (including Satan Claws is Coming to Town), tracks from death-metal side project The Creeping Flesh (also with Rob Macabre) and other digital goodies including the desktop artwork shown here.
