One of the more unusual horror films to play this year's Fantastic Fest (if only because it deals with the supernatural), Jim Mickle's Stake Land has been steadily piquing the curiosity of genre fans eager to see a contemporary vampire movie in which the bloodsuckers are portrayed as something other than tragic lovers. Now the post-apocayptic indie thriller has scored itself a release date. More after the jump.
According to Fangoria, Dark Sky Films/Glass Eye Pix' Stake Land will get a limited release on April 22. The cities and venues have yet to be announced on writer-director Mickle and writer-actor Nick Damici's follow-up to Mulberry Street -- which co-stars Kelly McGillis and Danielle Harris -- but we'll keep you posted as more info is revealed.
