Stephen King wrote a piece for EW.com entitled "10 Things I Know About the Remake of The Stand." In it, he mentions that he didn't know about the remake until he "read it on the internet." He also mentions that "the dough certainly isn't going to me," which seems to hint that the film will be a remake of the ABC mini-series, and not adapted from King's original novel.
