Remember back in the 1990s when practically every Stephen King novel was made into a TV miniseries? We may be in for another wave. In June, CBS is bringing King's Under the Dome to television as a 13-episode limited series (with an option to extend should it do well). J.J. Abrams's company Bad Robot is in talks to option King's novel 11/22/63 for television.
The deal is still under negotiation, but the option will be for television, as either a series or a miniseries. The project will likely be developed for cable, but no word yet on whether it is premium cable or basic cable. 11/22/63 is about a high school teacher who goes back in time and does everything possible to prevent the assassination of John Kennedy.
