The schedule for the New York City Horror Film Fest has been announced. The genre festival, now in its eight year, will run from November 18-22 at the Tribeca Cinemas. Hit the jump to learn what films will be featured.
The nine features playing include Blood Night: The Legend of Mary Hatchet, an ‘80s slasher throwback starring Bill Moseley (The Devil's Rejects) and Danielle Harris (the Halloween franchise); the haunted house tale The Shadow Within; Maidenhead about a guy whose mundane life is punctuated by caring for his strapped-to-the-bed father, who happens to also be a monster; The Revenant sees a soldier die in combat, only to be resurrected as a revenant; a rave is interrupted by a beast who has woken from his slumber in Sweatshop; horror and comedy coexist amongst lost love and suicide in Must Love Death; and Cornered features a secret poker game infiltrated by a serial killer, set against a gritty Los Angeles backdrop.
Other highlights of the festival include a restored, remastered version of F.W. Murnau's classic Nosferatu – now in 3D – and a screening of 1980's Maniac to coincide with the Lifetime Achievement Award being presented to its director, William Lustig.
