Moviehouse Entertainment has picked up Sugarhouse, the first feature from U.K. digital studio Slingshot, for international sales. The film, based on Dominic Leyton ‘s play Collision, is an urban thriller about a drug deal gone terribly wrong. Sugarhouse, directed by Gary Love (First-timer), stars Ashely Walters, Steven Macintosh, and Andy Serkis
According to Variety.com, Slingshot, based at Ealing Studios in west London, was founded in 2005 by Arvind Ethan David, Rachel Connors, Luke Mon-tagu and Arts Alliance topper Thomas Hoegh to make 10 low-budget digital features over three years.
Its second feature, French Film, is being sold internationally by the Works.
