Perhaps your mother or grandmother has tiny porcelain figurines sitting on her mantle? You know the ones – they’re figures of small children with giant eyes or ladies in gowns attending a ball.
Sculptor Jessica Harrison’s figures are some weird-world version of the collectibles your grandmother loved. They still depict ladies in classic poses and gorgeous dresses, but they are victims of horrific events.
One is missing her eyeballs, another is collecting her own intestines, a third sits in repose next to her severed head. Check out the grotesque images of the figures and buy prints here.
