Riding high from his Oscar win for the groovy score to The Social Network, Trent Reznor is not only planning on venturing further into the world of movie music, he may actually be headed in a direction we'd very much appreciate... that, of course, would be scoring a horror flick. Oh yeah, and showing up in front of the camera for that very same film. It all just whiplashed from rumor to reality when Entertainment Weekly confirmed the Nine Inch Nails founder could be scoring the upcoming Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and may play a major role as well. More details lurk below, so read on!
According to Badass Digest and EW's Inside Movies, a source from 20th Century Fox confirmed that the industrial-rock icon lined up his next big-screen gig faster than he could find shelf space for those big new awards. Not only was Trent approached by the studio to compose the score to the much-anticipated (and Tim Burton-produced) adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's wacked-out cult novel... he's also being considered to portray the pivotal role of Jack Barts, the vampire who kills Abe's mother.
All of this may not have panned out just yet, but we're definitely amped about the possibilities... and if the deal finally goes through, you'll be hearing about it soon!
