Underworld 4 started production last month in Vancouver, and are shooting in 3D. The first in the franchise to be shot natively in 3D, the film brings back Kate Beckinsale as vampire Selene and adds India Eisley (Secret Life of the American Teenager) to the cast. More details after the break.
Eisley will play Eve, Selene's daughter. The story follows Selene "who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species."
The film also stars Michael Ealy (Miracle at St. Anna). Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein (Shelter) direct a script from Len Wiseman (who wrote previous Underworld installments), Allison Burnett (Gone), and John Hlavin (The Shield).
The film is currently scheduled for a January 2012 release.
