UPDATED: Powerman 5000 Bust Out 'Super Villain' Video

Electro-rock unit Powerman 5000 – featuring FEARnet's own on-camera correspondent Spider, aka Spider One – have unleashed the explosive new video for Super Villain, the first single from their recently-released album Somewhere on the Other Side of Nowhere. We’ve got a high-quality version of this mini-epic waiting for you after the jump… so let us know what you think!

The high-concept look of Super Villain can be credited to the work of director Robert Hall – who not only helmed the neo-slasher gorefest Laid to Rest, but is also one of the evil masterminds behind our very own web series Fear Clinic.

"Working with [Hall] was great,” Spider commented on the Ultimate Guitar website. “He is a fan of Powerman 5000 and we also share the same interests in horror and sci-fi. When I walked into his FX shop (Almost Human) and saw some of the work he had done in the past, I knew the band was in good hands."

The video stars Jonathon Schaech (Quarantine) as the suave, black-garbed, fireball-flinging title character, and packs all the rockin' robots and heavy pyrotechnics you've come to expect from the mighty PM5K. We’ve got a high-quality version for your rocking pleasure, so check it out right now!
