Upper Deck Entertainment, the makers of the new and well-selling Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game, have just released details on a new game based on all four movies of the Alien franchise. The game, titled Legendary Encounters: An Alien Deck Building Game is picking up steam. The image below represents the newly released box art for the game, and it looks like a beauty.
Players will fight against hordes of Xenomorphs, collecting cards to make their hands more powerful. This is a fully cooperative game, so there will likely be interesting interactivity between players. Also of note is the mention that, while you can't fully mix the two, it will be partially compatible with its Marvel-based predecessor. Imagine Captain America going toe-to-toe with a 'Morph!
This all stems from a deal brokered between Upper Deck Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox, and they've hinted that they will also be creating games based on their other sci-fi franchises, including Predator and Firefly.
