Video Game ‘Routine’ Looks to be Anything But

There’s something special about space horror, blending our innate fear of the unknown—and there’s nothing more unknown than outer space—with an industrial sci-fi twist.  Dead Space 3 and Aliens: Colonial Marines aren’t the only games bringing terror to the cosmos: the upcoming Routine seems to fill in the less combative gaps in the genre with good old-fashioned frights.

The most intriguing part about Routine, according to G4, is its completely atypical design that takes the HUD-less interface of Amnesia and runs with it, offering no health packs and no means of self-defense…only the terrible promise of permanent death.  Also, there’s a uniquely retro vibe to the game, evidenced by the flying floppy diskettes in the trailer.  God, did I just call floppy diskettes retro?
