The video shows Honnold scaling a 1750-foot vertical face of El Sendero Luminoso, a limestone cliff in El Potrero Chico, Mexico, without the aid of safety gear of any kind... meaning just one mistake would have resulted in certain death. Honnold's route up the mountain is shown below:

It's just one of many terrifying ascents by the daredevil, who has previously tackled the Yosemite Triple Crown – a course that includes incredibly difficult routes up El Capitan, Mount Watkins and the Northwest face of Half Dome.
 
Honnold successfully reached the top of El Sendero Luminoso in just three hours.
