Watch HIM's New 'Heartkiller' Video

An eerie new video for Heartkiller – the first single from HIM's upcoming album Screamworks: Love in Theory in Practice – is now live, and you can watch it right here it after the jump. The new song and video reflect the darkly sexual undercurrent of the new material – which frontman Ville Valo has described as their “most horny” album ever. Plus there's skulls, lasers, supermodels and creepy dead animals in there too! Hey, what's not to love?

Shot against a midnight-black field, the sparse, minimalist video features the darkly romantic mood you've come to expect from the Finnish “Love Metal” icons, but with a charming touch of taxidermy – juxtaposing images of the band with stuffed boars, birds, bears, bugs and bunnies with the occasional fashion model – to make things a bit creepier. Right from the intro, the tune shows all the classic HIM earmarks, but with a touch more emphasis on '80s-era electronics and a soaring vocal approach from Valo.

Screamworks hits the streets on February 9th, but in the meantime watch Heartkiller below and let us know what you think!
