Let's cut to the chase, shall we? (you've waited long enough for this news): The Loved Ones will get a theatrical release on July 1st, thanks to Paramount Insurge, which has just announced the cities in which this festival favorite will be playing and how you can get tickets. There's also a cool new trailer. All this goodness awaits after the break.
Here's the synopsis for The Loved Ones: "Lola Stone asked Brent Mitchell to the prom, but Brent said no, and now he's screwed. What happens when Lola doesn't get what she wants? She enlists Daddy's help to throw a prom of her own, where she is queen and Brent is king — whether he likes it or not. THE LOVED ONES is what happens when puppy love goes horribly, violently wrong. Brent should have said yes…."
And here are the cities in which the film will be playing. You can click on each city's name to reserve your ticket, but please note that, since these are Tugg screenings, they will only occur if at least 50 people reserve tickets for each screening. (Tugg is an on-demand service for theatrical booking. A pre-set number of people, in this case 50, must commit to going in order for a screening to take place.) So reserve your ticket now. And don't worry -- if the screening doesn't take place, you won't be charged.

Note: The LA screening will be hosted by Brian Collins of Horror Movie A Day, who tells us "I think this is the only 35mm screening it'll have or has had since [its Fantastic Fest] showing... It's a cool flick, sort of John Hughes meets survival horror (i.e. someone gets tied to a chair at one point). And Australian, so if you don't go you are disrespecting the didgeridoo."
