On a budget of only $6,000, filmmaker Jeremy Gardner created the award-winning horror comedy The Battery, a unique zombie epic that pits two former baseball players (played by Gardner and Adam Cronheim) against the living dead – and each other – in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. The film just made its online premiere at iTunes, and you can watch the trailer below.
Described as “more than your average post-apocalyptic survival movie,” The Battery has racked up a ton of praise, winning Audience Awards at Imagine Film Festival Amsterdam (beating the Evil Dead remake), Scotland's Dead by Dawn Festival and Mauvais Genre in France, and nabbed the “Best Zombie Film” title at Brazil's Fantaspoa.
You can learn more about it at The Battery official site, and rent the entire film on iTunes. Here's the trailer!
