Everything we've seen so far from Prometheus looks pretty damn outstanding. Which is exactly why I'm starting to get nervous. Could there actually be a successful prequel to Alien? It's a possibility I never would have considered, even when the project was first announced. But with each new image, each new scrap of info, the likelihood that we'll have an intelligent, thrilling science-fiction spectacle on our hands this summer looks greater and greater. I might just need to go into cryogenic stasis until June 8th, since that's the only way I'm gonna make it through this... Anyway, you know the routine -- new TV spot after the jump, looks freaking terrific, etc.
Here's the synopsis for Prometheus: "A team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race. Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender and Idris Elba star in Prometheus, which was originally conceived as a prequel to Scott's 1979 classic Alien."
