Zombie epic World War Z is finally set to shoot in Glasgow, Scotland, with Brad Pitt starring. The film, based on the Max Brooks book, was written by J. Michael Straczynski and will be directed by Marc Forester. Production is set to start in August. We've got more tidbits after the jump.
For those of you in Glasgow, filming will be in and around George Square in August, so avoid this area. The country's Casting Collective is hiring zombie extras, though, so get those resumes in. The film is expected to bring in 1.5 million pounds to the Scottish economy, making World War Z one of the biggest films ever shot in the country.
