In a double-barreled announcement, Rob Zombie has finally revealed that his upcoming album will be a direct sequel or sorts to his triple platinum-selling 1998 smash Hellbilly Deluxe, and also broke out the dates and venues for the first-round promotional tour for Hellbilly Deluxe 2, just in time for Halloween. Find out more after the jump!
The full title of the new project is quite a mouthful: Hellbilly Deluxe 2 – Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls and the Systematic Dehumanization of Cool. Zombie's first headlining gig in two years kicks off just ahead of the album's November 10th release – beginning in Phoenix, AZ on October 29th and continuing to Las Vegas the following day, then a huge show in Los Angeles on Halloween Night hosted by Uncle Seymour Coffins (last seen in RZ's Halloween II).
The tour will continue through November, with support by psychobilly rockers Necromantix and Captain Clegg & The Night Creatures (who also appear in Rob’s H2). Rob's own lineup will again feature John 5 on Guitar, Piggy D on Bass and Tommy Clufetos on skins.
“I am bouncing off the walls like a mental patient,” Zombie declared. “That tells me it’s time to take it to the stage and let the demons loose.”
