Zombies on the Braaains with 'Cockneys vs. Zombies'

Phobia Friday: Chrometophobia or Chrematophobia - Fear of money.

Zom-coms are in vogue right now, and you can add another to your viewing calendar with Cockneys vs. Zombies.  We got the scoop from star Tamer Hassan (Wrong Turn 3) who plays a gangster leading a team on a massive bank heist.  "It’s in the vein of Shaun of the Dead," he tells us.  "While we are robbing the bank, the crew building the Olympic Stadium in London unearths zombies from a cursed tomb.  We spend the night hiding out while the zombies are feasting on East Londoners.  When we come out of hiding, all of East London is under quarantine – no one in or out."

"The one liner would be, 'What would you do with five million pounds and nowhere to spend it?'," he continues.  "The cops are chasing us, the zombies are chasing us, and all we want to do is get out of London and spend our dough."

Hassan is the only actor confirmed for the film, but he is hoping that they will start shooting by January and make a Halloween 2010 release.

Check back for our full Wrong Turn 3 interview with Hassan soon.
