I don't know much about Jeffrey Thomas, but after stumbling on his blog, I have to admit that I absolutely love this guy now. He's taken ten or so Disney Princesses, and presented them - in his words - as 'twisted' variations. I'm captivated by these and I immediately thought about how I would love to have each of these hanging on my wall.

The idea of taking something so innocent and turning it into a horrific curiosity isn't easy to execute, but Thomas manages to make it look effortless. Somehow, he's managed to capture not only the essence of these characters, but in a weird way, the essence of Disney. On top of that, the wholesome Disney Princess has never looked so gloriously unwholesome. The image above represents The Little Mermaid, see below for a few more examples of his work (including Snow White and Beauty and the Beast) and a link to his highly recommended blog, where you can see the rest of his amazing designs.
