Mr. Harris, the chemistry teacher, is talking to a shadowy monster, presumably the alpha. He is frightened. Derek comes in and rescues Harris. The police show up, too, which leads to a big chase scene: Derek on foot, being chased by the police, watched (then fired upon) by the Argents, and followed by Scott and Stiles in Derek's car.

Sookie pays Marnie a visit, hoping to get some insight into what the coven did to Eric. She requests a psychic reading, during which Marnie contacts Gran. Gran tells Sookie - through Marnie - that she needs to care for her brother and not to give this "new man" her heart. Surprised, Sookie can't help but read Marnie's thoughts, and she hears Gran warning her to get the hell away from Marnie - that she is dangerous.

Things seem idyllic at Sanctuary farm. The kids play soccer. Meals are cooked in a modern, normal kitchen. There is a garden that yields fresh produce. Pope escapes the basement, takes a couple guns, and runs.

Parents bring the young Eli to Anne for a checkup. The dad holds her at gunpoint, demanding all her drugs. They make off with a sack full of pharms, and Weaver, Tom, and Mike hunt them down. A man named Terry Clayton catches this thieving family, makes them give back the drugs and sends them on their way.

Eric, drunk off Claudette's blood, pinches Sookie's butt and runs off into the woods. He has not returned by morning, so Sookie calls Alcide to help track him down. He is swimming in the swamp and doesn't want to come home. The fairy blood wears off, his skin starts to blister, and he finally allows Sookie to cover him up and help him home.
