Rick, Michonne, and Carl are still making their way towards Terminus. They come across an old car with a flat tire and decide to camp here for the night. Carl dozes in the car while Michonne and Rick keep watch by a fire outside. There is a snap from the woods and suddenly, they are set upon by a couple angry men with guns.

When Len swoops in and “claims” a bunny that he and Daryl shot at about the same time, Daryl learns a lesson about Joe’s rules: all you have to say is “claim” to lay claim to anything: food, bed, weapon, whatever; you steal, you get killed; and no lying.

Carol and Lizzie keep watch while Tyreese, Mika, and Judith sleep. Carol wants Lizzie to sleep, but Lizzie wants to help. She points out that she shot at two people who were shooting at Tyreese, and Carol assures her that it was necessary - she saved Tyreese.

We open with a flashback to when Glenn and Daryl found Bob wandering alone on the road. He is a shell of a man, existing simply because he doesn't know what else to do.

We follow Daryl and Beth this week. As the episode opens, the sun is going down and they have a horde of zombies on their ass. They hunker down in the trunk of a car, weapons at the ready in case the zombies break in. But morning comes and the horde moves on.

Michonne and Carl are bonding in a way they never did at the prison. She finally seems willing to let her guard down, and he is glad to have someone other than his father to talk to.

The prison is overrun with walkers. The fences are down; the livestock is dead. The only living thing there is Michonne, and she is only there to collect a couple pet zombies before she heads off, looking for shelter.

The Governor speaks to his new crew, trying to talk them into storming the prison. He says it is for survival, that if they stay there they will die, that the prison is safe, and that the people who currently occupy the prison are no good. “We can do it without firing a shot,” he tells them, “but we must be willing to kill if necessary.”

Over the objections of several in his crew, Martinez invites the Governor and his new family to join their camp. The two rules: Martinez is in charge, and they don’t allow dead weight. Everyone has a job.
