Mark B. Johnson (Executive Producer)

A graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder, Mark began his filmmaking career in San Francisco where he worked with acclaimed documentary filmmaker Robert Hillmann on (FIRE ON THE WATER) and interned with him for a year during WALDO SALT: A SCREENWRITERS JOURNEY, which was nominated for an academy award. He then worked with John Schlesinger on the acclaimed feature film, PACIFIC HEIGHTS in San Francisco.

Mark then went on to Produce PATRIOT SON, a film based on militia conspiracies around the United States. PATRIOT SON was an official selection at the Telluride Film Festival 1997, winner of the Best of LA award at the Los Angeles International Short Fest and winner of Best Dramatic Adaptation at World fest Charleston, SC.

Mark then produced the short film, SPECIAL DELIVERY, which won the Silver Award in the Comedy Original Category at World-Fest Flagstaff. SPECIAL DELIVERY was selected and screened in the New York Independent Film Festival.

Mark continued to work as Location Manager on some of Hollywood?s biggest movies including: THE FAMILY MAN>, starring Nicolas Cage, RUSH HOUR 2, starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, HOLES, starring Jon Voight and Sigourney Weaver, S.W.A.T. (Mark received a LA Award for Location Manager of the Year) starring Samuel Jackson and Colin Ferrell, Spanglish, starring Adam Sandler and Tea Leoni, Bewitched, starring Nicole Kidman and Colin Ferrell.

As Production Supervisor, Mark has worked with Adam Sandler?s company, Happy Madison, on such films as Grandma?s Boy, starring Allen Covert and Doris Roberts and Strange Wilderness, starring Steve Zahn and Jonah Hill.

As Co-Producer, Mark worked with Wayne Rice, Producer of Dude, Where my Car?> and Suicide Kings on three films including; Killer Pad, directed by Robert Englund, Finding Amanda (Official Selection of Tribeca Film Festival 2008 & slated for release on June 27, 2008 by Magnolia Films) written and directed by Peter Tolan (writer/director and co-creator of FX Networks' Rescue Me) starring Matthew Broderick and Brittany Snow and No Place Like Home, written and directed by Sam Harper starring Danny De Vito. Recently, Mark finished production of The Slammin' Salmon, the latest comedy film from The Broken Lizard, the writing and acting troupe that created the re-known comedies Super Troopers and Beerfest.

As Co-Producer, Mark recently completed production on a Sony Screen Gems feature film, Easy A, written and directed by Will Gluck, starring Emma Stone, Thomas Hayden Church, Lisa Kudrow and Stanley Tucci.

As Executive Producer, Mark recently completed Production on Fear Clinic, a webseries for FEARnet.com/Comcast Entertainment, directed by Robert Hall, written by Aaron Drane and starring Robert Englund, Danielle Harris and Kane Hodder.

Mark continues to develop ideas for the internet, TV and film mediums and has several projects in the works for production in the near future.
