While a number of these books and stories were published in 2013, some were not. But I still highly recommend them all for readers that haven't had a chance to add them to their lists.

This past year saw some truly awesome poster art make its way onto the internet and our walls, to the point that it was no easy task to cut the list down to only ten... so I didn't!
2013 was a stellar year for horror fiction, and while these five titles made the cut for this column I could have easily added a dozen more. There are familiar names here, and a couple of newcomers I hope you’ll seek out.

The best comics develop and grow as the story progresses. This year was flush with fun, exciting new horror comics. And while many series came and went, a few choice "comic runs" went above and beyond this year. Whether it's thrilling plot lines, in depth character develop, or just bad-ass monsters and action… these are our favorites of the year.
