We’ve actually got two episodes here, squished together as a two-hour special.
Wes has Elena in the basement of her father’s old medical practice. This was where he helped the Augustines - and where he experimented on vampires. Elena has vague memories of sneaking downstairs, hearing heinous sounds of torture behind a closed door, remembering her father gently telling her to go upstairs, that this isn’t a “kid zone.”
Fiona brings Delphine’s head back to Marie in hopes that she can use it as a bargaining chip. She wants an alliance between the two covens; Marie laughs. Even hearing about the witch hunters doesn’t change her mind.
Ichabod is in a bad mood over discovering he has a son. Not content with that knowledge, he calls Henry Parrish to help him “reach across realms” and speak with Katrina. Henry must get Ichabod “close to death” so he strangles Ichabod into unconsciousness.
Grayson and Jayne go to the Savoy for dinner, but he doesn’t even sit when he sees Mina, Jonathan, and Lucy at a nearby table. Jayne is embarrassed at being left alone; Lucy and Jonathan are both annoyed that Grayson is flirting with their girl.
Marshall and Belinda take their sone, nine year old Daniel, to a church late one night for an exorcism. An old priest (Monsignor Paul) and a young priest (seminary student Matthew) take Daniel into a back room. as the monsignor begins the rites, Daniel’s sweet boyish face changes. It grows pale and veiny, his eyes glow, and his teeth grow sharp. Matthew tries to hold the boy down but is no match for his super strength. He ties the boy to ornate bars on the edges of the table he is on, but the demon is too strong. Daniel pulls the bar free and uses it to beat the priests.
Elena pays Aaron a visit. He is mourning the death of Jesse, and Elena doesn’t want burden him, but Aaron’s day “can’t get any worse.” She is looking for Damon and Wes; neither have been seen since the night before.
Fiona is in bad shape. She is in constant pain, can’t keep food down, and her hair is falling out in chunks. Cordelia, meanwhile, is trying to hold the remnants of her coven together. Queenie, now working for Marie Laveau, is dead to her, and she won’t let the others slip through the cracks, especially now that Madison is back. She is preparing for war, both against Marie and her mother.
Sam and Dean show up to a massacre at a biker bar and discover Castiel there, posing as an FBI agent like the boys taught him. Despite the fact that he is wanted by every angel in existence, Cas still feels like it is his duty to help with this whole angel war
Klaus holds a dinner party for Marcel and his inner circle, a sort of introduction to their new leader. He introduces them to Hayley, and since she is carrying his child, she is to be given “the appropriate respect.” In other words, “don’t kill my baby mama.”
