There is not much action in tonight’s episode, but we get a lot of intrigue. First, Katherine is back for Stefan. He surprises her with a silver spike in the back, which slows her down enough that he can chain her up in the cellar and interrogate her.
The Vampire Diaries
In True Blood-style, season two of Vampire Diaries opens up exactly where season 1 ended: with Elena discovering Uncle John bleeding to death. Katherine hovers menacingly, but departs before Elena can see her.
Isobel meets Alaric at the Grill for the sole purpose of strong arming him into setting up a meeting between her and Elena. Alaric refuses to help the “cold, selfish bitch” until she threatens to pick off the town residents one at a time.
Stefan has detoxed, but he is still huddled in the cellar. He refuses to eat, refuses to leave, and refuses to talk to Elena or Damon. Between the solitude and the hunger, Stefan flashes back/hallucinates to the time that he and Damon became vampires...
It is a dark and stormy night. No, seriously. Stefan, weakened from the fight he and Damon just had with Frederick, heads out to hunt squirrels. He is kidnapped by Frederick and his band of merry vamps, who take him back to the vampire halfway house for torture before being offed. He insists that Stefan must experience the pain that he experienced locked in the tomb.
