I bought Cannibal Holocaust but haven't watched it yet. Any opinions as to whether I should watch it or just trash it?

I can't really find a good vampire horror film. If there is one out there, then please let me know, but if there isn't really then what would make a good vampire horror?...Blade, Underworld, and Van Helsing don't count as horror, so let me know, I'm very interested in this sub-genre that should be doing a lot better than it is.
OK FEARnet community I have a question for you:
What movie provides the best "JUMP" factor? Do you get better "jumps" in a theater, or at home, alone, and in the dark??
Hi all! I just joined today, I did not even know about this site until I watched some horror movies on comcast on demand. Nice! Just wanted to say hi to all the witches and zombies on here and to check and see how many people on here live in georgia (USA)? I'm looking for some new flesh to hang out with.
Last night, I watched part of the Halloween "25 Years of Terror" DVD. On it, they talked about new directions the series could take. One possibility was pitting Michael Myers against Pinhead. Clive Barker said he was "stoked" by the idea, and that the plan was for Barker to write and John Carpenter to direct. Barker said that he and Carpenter had spoken by phone about the project, and both agreed that they wanted to do it.
However, an executive with the studio that now owns the rights to Halloween said that he felt it unnecessary to pair Myers with another movie villian.
Alright. As an indie filmaker and a horror film freak, I am deeply disturbed by the remakes of these classics. We have seen remakes of Texas Chainsaw, Dawn of the Dead and we will see in the next year or so remakes of Friday the 13th, Halloween and Day of the dead. So chime in. Do we need to remake these greats and what other horror movies do we want to see in the future being remade???
If anyone is interested they are having a special on TCM and they are highlighting the new one TCM The beginning. I thought I would just pass that on.
I myself am not a huge fan of video game movies but I must admit that there are a few that I found to be decent. Here are my lists of the Good and the Bad. What do you guys think?
Resident Evil: Apocalypse
House of the Dead
House of the Dead II
Mortal Kombat (All of them)
