DEADLANDS: The Rising (Baltimore, MD Zombie film)

As the topic states this thread is about the film DEADLANDS: The Rising. My name is Gary Ugarek and I am the writer/director/editor and one of the actors in this self financed zombie epic.

I started production on this film in 2005 and completed it in 2006. Working with close friends and people in the Baltimore indie film community working just weekend here and there it took us 14 months to bring my vision of a zombie uprising to zombie fans the world over.

Lovecracked! The Movie

With tongue so oft planted firmly in cheek, the story follows the exploits of a bumbling investigative journalist as he struggles to deduce the truth behind the author, H.P. Lovecraft and his work. Along the way, stories unfold, pulling him deeper into the mysterious and macabre world of Lovecraft. Will the journalist finally prevail or will he end up without a clue as usual? One thing's for sure: the truth is out there... he's just not entirely sure where.

Geroge A. Romero

I would say he is one of the best indy directors out there. Look at what he made and influnced an entire generation with night of the living dead. what does everyone else think?

Worth one watch. That's about it. It's kinda cool in the same way that anarchist cookbook (the book, not the movie) is... Something about cheap horror movies that show a goth chic pierce a dead dudes nipple then have sex with his corpse makes it worth watching once.

Plus, the cop killing scene. Nice. "Kill the police! Kill the pigs! Hate! Hate! Hate!"

Freak Out

Anyone see this movie yet. I am still on the fence about this one. There are some things I liked about it and some I didn't. The ending was really cheesy but there were some funny parts.
