I mentioned this in another thread, but it deserves a thread of its own.

Has anyone seen this? I have only seen clips of it. It is basically the very first horror film ever made. All prints of it were lost until recently. I am looking for a copy of it. Is it out there in any reputable form? Or do I have to go to the dark side of the intarweb to land this thing?

discuss plz.

Yes, I have seen it and I very much enjoyed it. One thing you will notice that very much unlike the Frankenstein we are used to seeing, the "monster" in this case is a result of chemical/potions, and not by being sewn together as we have come to accept.

The film (or rahter transfer) itself isn't in the greatest of shape, but a very cool, nostalgic look back at early fim making, especially the horror genre.

You can see a copy of it on YouTube, but turn the sound down as whoever posted it added thier own (very lousy) rock music to the upload.

How cool that it's on YouTube! I've read about it, but have never seen it. Can't wait to check it out.
