The TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE was scarier, and it was before tales from the crypt. I also liked TALES FROM THE CRYPT!

i liked both...
but the story about the monster in the lake while ppl are trapped on a lil dock in the middle
blew me away when i was little and its still one of my favs today

tales from the darkside were much better written and offered more for such a low budget show.,..i also enjoyed the series "MONSTERS",..it was cheesy but fun and the producers were very creative with thier stories.

I really loved them both, but since ive been picking up the tales from the Crypt dvds lately, im leaning more towards them. especially the Micheal ironside one, a sort of 30 days of night before they made the comic book

Thats a difficult choice since both wrer cheesy and good. I was just a kid but it did scare me. Even the show monsters scared me than.

I beleive your thinking of The Raft its one of the stories in creepshow 2. But in any event darkside ruled
