i suppose it would depend on your taste and your defination of "good",..some prefer campy horror over more intense type's others prefer classic over splatter,..

if your seeking horror films that are less commmonly known,..i suggest euro- horror such as argento or fulci,..or seek out some low buget fun like "flight of the living dead" or "it waits" not well know but watchable.

again much relies on your taste and what you concider as good horror.,.once you define more closely the type of horror you like ,..i'm sure you'll find quite a few people eager to recommend you to films you'll enjoy,...good luck.

It does depend on your taste.

If you like movies with hard to figure out plots (suspenseful, psychological thrillers), the Saw movies can't be beat. They are also really good at gore. My favorite scene of all four is the autopsy scene in the fourth one.

Stephen King movies are good, but you have to be careful. Many are made for TV movies and suck. It's not the story itself that are bad, but the way the movies are made and the acting. The Shining (the one with Jack Nicholson), Misery, and the 1st and 3rd Creepshows are my favorites.

Classics like The Exorcist, The Omen, and Carrie can't be beat, no matter what you like. Look for movies from the 70s and 80s with actors you recognize.

If you like Sci-Fi, listen to the first song in the Rocky Horror Picture Show, Science Fiction. It names tons of classic Sci-Fi movies from the old days.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show itself was like the first Scary Movie (you know, the parody movies). It parodies many elements of the old science fiction movies. It is not scary itself, but it has great music and dancing!!

This is kind of long, but I hope it helps.
