About Mari - Kari

Mari and Kari are identical twins. They’re best friends and never apart. Mari is the liveliest girl you’ll ever meet. Kari is too. Her problem: she’s dead. From there it gets weird.

Let's predict how this will be...

It seems to be a series based on the adventures of a dead girl... so how do you guys think it'll be, after the series airs we can see if we still feel the same way...

It sound to me like it's a story line that has been used time and time again (not that there's anything wrong with that if you like shows like it) It sounds like the series "Dead like me" at first glance, or prehaps like the one segment from the original "tales from the crypt"; maybe even somewhat like "Donnie Darko". I personally am not too fond of this type of thing, but I'm gonna give this series a far chanse. So I'd say I have pretty low anitial expectations, perhaps it'll stand to prove me wrong though.

Where do you guys think this will go?

Like I said in a dif. discussion, I like it alot, but it's no South Park.

@ calebbotts - How has this story been used time and time again? Please direct me to the shows/movies that feature a delightful schoolgirl and her dead sister.

@ zombie_man - Ok but where's the comparison? The fact that both feature kids? I'm just not seeing it. It's like saying it's no Children of the Corn. Kinda random.

The first post that kicked everything off was a prediction of what the show would be and the names of similar ideas are presented in it.

Dead Like Me and Donnie Darko? Ok.

Lets see, undead reaper: Larry

and dead siblings that are not fully aware that they are dead (how be it from stupidity this time rather than alternate reality like Darko that theme is still present). I just think the whole undead friends & siblings thing has been used before, not that these storylines aren't interesting, but if you watch too many of them they all start running together. The Characterization in Mari-Kari is certainly original though, however ghost sister... seems familiar.
