Out of curiousity, I decided to check out the original Shutter on netflix, and I was not disappointed. Unlike the american version, I was genuinely creeped out by the korean version. It had good atmosphere, ambience and much more creative scares than its counterpart. The storyline was a little deeper than the american and seem to bring out more emotion when telling it. My suggestion would be to check it out, at least for some comparision or see its roots.

The original movie is brilliant from start to finish, dont need to say any more :) it defo one of the best asian horror movies iv ever seen !

Yes, it's one of the better movies. Not very original but it hits all its marks and has everything you want in a good asian horror movie.

i have got the original on DVD, a 2disc edition it is a bad ass film BUT i still havent seen the remake so i carnt comment
